Varvara Agaeva started her music lessons at the age of 5, when she entered the Moscow Gnessin School of Music and became one of the students of prof. Tatiana Berkul, Honoured Artist of Russia, docent of the Tchaickovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
Varvara successfully took part in many international contests. In November, 2011, she became laureate of the National Alekseev Contest for Young Musicians in Moscow. In the following year 2012, she received the first prise in the Bobilyov International Competition for Young Violinists, where she also was rewarded with a special prize by the Ryazan Department of Culture.
In 2013 Varvara won again, this time in the International Radovich Contest for Young Musicians in Vilnus, where she also got the special prize from the Radovitch family. In 2014 she got the prize in the international Mstislav and Leopold Rastropovitch Contest for Young Musicians in Orenburg. In September 2015 she became a laureate of International contest “Rotari”.
Varvara takes part in different concerts in philharmonic halls of Moscow, many of which organised by the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation. She has entered master-classes of such well-known maestros as Pier Ammoyal, Boris Garlizkiy, Nikita Borisoglebsky. Since 2012 Varvara has been a scholar of the Fund “New Names”.
In her free time she likes reading, drawing, walking outside
